🌍 Why I am committed

Ikala Ngita is much more than a haircare brand.
It is the expression of a conviction: beauty has more meaning when it supports a cause.

I was born in Madagascar.
I was lucky enough to go to school, to have access to education and to opportunities that changed my life.
But I know that, for many children in my country, this chance does not exist.
In Madagascar, it is often said: "Your future is determined the moment you are born."
This phrase has always stayed with me, because it traps so many children in a destiny they did not choose.

Today, settled in France and a mother of three, I understand the importance of education more than ever.
That is why I wanted Ikala Ngita to be not just a brand that enhances textured hair, but also a bridge to hope.

Our commitment with FARA

For every Ikala Ngita product sold, €0.50 is set aside to contribute to a charitable initiative in Madagascar.
Today, this commitment is taking shape alongside FARA, through its new CSR program that combines education, textile recycling, and local engagement.

A project that gives a second life to textiles

The principle is simple: collect unused or end-of-life textiles to repurpose them, notably by transforming them into school bags.
This approach combines the reduction of textile waste, the promotion of local expertise, support for education, and environmental awareness.
It is to this project that Ikala Ngita wishes to contribute progressively thanks to the €0.50 set aside for every product sold.

FARA, already committed on the ground

FARA has already participated in a previous charitable initiative for 24 students at a rural community school in Nosy Be.
On that occasion, the children received bags made from repurposed textiles as well as school supplies. An environmental awareness campaign was also conducted for the students.
This initiative was carried out by FARA with another partner, before the collaboration with Ikala Ngita. Today, it serves as a concrete illustration of the type of action to which Ikala Ngita now wishes to contribute.

Because even a small bag can hold big dreams.
